This Privacy Policy explains how Salvador Ongaro Law Offices ("we," "us") collects, uses, and protects information in connection with our text messaging (SMS/MMS) program. For the terms that apply to our text messages, see our SMS Terms of Use (https://www.ongarolawoffices.com/sms-terms).

  • The content of text messages you send to us and that we send to you, and message delivery and response information, such as whether a message was delivered or answered

  • Give us your mobile number and consent in our office, by phone, or email

  • Text our office first

  • Sign an engagement agreement or intake form with us

How we use it

We use your mobile number and related information only to communicate with you about your legal matter, including:

  • Appointment reminders and confirmations

  • Requests for documents or information

  • Updates about your case

  • Billing and payment reminders

  • Answering your questions and providing support

We also use it to keep records of your consent and opt-out requests, and to meet our legal and professional obligations. We do not send marketing or promotional text messages through this program.

Sharing of SMS opt-in data and mobile information

We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Mobile phone numbers and SMS opt-in consent will never be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

We share information only with the service providers we need to deliver our text messages and manage our cases, such as our phone and texting provider, our case-management software provider, and mobile carriers. They may use it only to provide those services to us. We may also disclose information when the law requires it.

How we protect it

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your phone number and message content. These include password-protected and access-limited business systems, and service providers that use encrypted connections. Only firm personnel who need your information to work on your matter may access it.

Text messaging is not a fully secure form of communication. Please do not send highly sensitive information, such as Social Security numbers, A-numbers, or passport numbers, by text message unless we ask you to.

Your choices and rights

You can stop receiving text messages at any time. Reply STOP to unsubscribe. Reply HELP for assistance. After you reply STOP, you will receive one final message confirming that you have been unsubscribed. You can also opt out by calling or emailing us.

You may ask to see, correct, or update the information we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by contacting us below. We will honor deletion requests except where we must keep records to meet our legal, ethical, or professional record-keeping obligations.
